About

March 23, 2010

I’m not going to tell you a story about a girl who has been head over heels in love with art all of her life. While I could gush about the affection I have for photography, my admiration of the giver of my gifts is so much more and makes all the other things I fancy seem so dim lit by the light of my attentions. The purpose of this blog, this project, which will take my entire life to complete, is not to post my latest life events, to gain clients and/or readers, or to gain recognition. It is not about soapboxes, endorsements, or advertising.

This blog is not about me. It is not a documentary in which I am the center of the words and the images.

The purpose of this project, and my entire life, is to bring glory and edification to God. I cannot separate God from my art for God gave me the talents I have and is my inspiration to continue picking up my camera. I am not going to stuff my faith inside of a box and let it sit aside, out of sight from the world. The idea of having something inside and not showing it to the world is completely contradictory of what art, as I believe it to be, is.

Art is a statement. A proclamation of expressions and emotions.

This blog is my Statement. My Expression. My Sacrifice. My Offering

Thank you so much for stopping by. I’m sure I say that over a thousand times on this site, but I do appreciate every visitor that comes to view my work. You are treasured and made for such a time as this.
